# W3D Terminal — Web3 Decentralization Intelligence

> Independent, methodology-first research dashboard that scores major Layer-1 blockchains on decentralization across four pillars: infrastructure, capital, governance, and software client diversity. Built and maintained by Abdullah Al Shoyeb.

The terminal computes a composite decentralization grade (S–F) for 8 chains — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, Avalanche, Polkadot, Cosmos Hub, XRP — using publicly cited sources. It also stress-tests each network against AWS, GCP, and ISP-level outages.

## Methodology

Composite score = 0.30·Infrastructure + 0.25·Capital + 0.25·Governance + 0.20·Software. Each pillar is a 0–100 score derived from the Nakamoto Coefficient and supporting public data. Stress vectors apply percentage damage to the affected pillars based on infrastructure exposure to AWS, GCP, and major ISPs. Full formulas are in the on-site Methodology section.
